Our programming consists of three main parts: one-on-one charting instruction and discipleship, small catechetical accompaniment groups, and large-group retreats.

The Details:

  • A woman is (re)introduced to her body through instruction in charting with the FEMM (Fertility Education and Medical Management) method.

This instruction happens primarily in on-on-one follow-up appointments where the FEMM Teacher and the student can effectively manage the student’s chart.

More than this, however, is the opportunity for individualized formation and prayer between the Teacher as a mentor and the student.

  • A woman comes to small groups primarily as a means of building community and relationships with other women who will accompany her in her spiritual and intellectual journey in the faith.

These groups will focus on the obtaining of knowledge of the faith in various ways, most commonly through studies and readings. Prayer, especially prayer which focuses on hearing the voice of the Lord, is an essential part of these meetings.

Our own curriculum, Body & Soul: Encountering Christ through Femininity, takes the participant on a journey from Eve to Mary. The six-week study begins in the Garden of Eden and ends at the Annunciation, travelling through the four identities of woman (daughter, sister, bride, and mother) and the four aspects of the Feminine Genius (receptivity, sensitivity, generosity, and maternity), all while integrating these identities and aspects with our the four phases of the woman’s biological cycle (menses, pre-ovulatory, ovulatory, and post-ovulatory).

  • Large group retreats will be hosted to kick off the charting and small groups. These events follow the Acts 2:42 model of ministry:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42

Following this model, the day will consist of several talks on biological and spiritual femininity, fellowship over a shared meals, and prayer—especially prayer in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

We also incorporate a Grand Silence into our retreat, allowing participants a chance to pause and find true rest. This Silence is a time for prayer, journaling, painting, or even a nap!
